in house tube manipulation facility enables us to offer excellent
turn round times on items such as U-tubes for use in heat exchanger
U-bundles. Tubes are cut to length, bent, heat treated and hydro
tested in a purpose built facility. This ensures that the finished
product is both to the required specification and is delivered
on schedule.
In specifying you should advise
- Tube diameter, thickness
and material.
- Straight leg length.
- Centre line radius (or
diameter) and number off per row.
- Whether post bend heat
treatment is required.
- Whether hydraulic testing
is required.
Profins can manufacture carbon steel and stainless
steel U tubes to TEMA R standard in a range of sizes. Carbon steel
tubes are heat treated in an annealing furnace and stainless steel
tubes are solution annealed by electric resistance. All U tubes
are hydro-tested as required.
